Cougar Football Saturday!

I went home to Spokane for the weekend of September 21st, the main purpose- COUGAR FOOTBALL!  I went to the WSU Homecoming on Saturday #heartbreaker and also managed to squeeze in a hair appointment, Bunco with the girls, QT with Harper Mae, family time, Greenbluff & a visit with Jamie D and my new nephew Nimbex :)

Per usual I didn't take pictures of enough events and completely failed to get pictures from family time...boo.   Must work on that!

Cougar Football Saturday!  I rode to Pullman with Megs & Chris and met up with Theresa, Jim, Simpson, Theresa's Mom and the Snyder clan at the tailgate.  The game was great....until we coug'ed it in the final quarter BUT Travis Long, Meg & Chris's nephew had a GREAT game and we were thrilled to see him play so well.  Can't believe it's his senior year already!

Megs, T & I at the tailgate!  I'm 28 weeks :)  Getting closer & bigger!

Jim & I walking down Stadium Way.  Love this guy!

Simpson with Megs & I

After the game we headed over to Travis's house to say "great game" and spend some time with the Snyders.  T had to go home for work #boo.

Me & Travis...so proud of this guy!  He makes the Cougs look good!

The group with Travis as head back to Spokane.

Even though I spent hours with Harper on Friday I managed to get next to no pics!  I was too busy playing and cuddling #fail  Saturday after we got back to Spokane I made sure to snap some!

Megs, Harper, bump & me!  Can't believe all the babies coming so close together between us girls.  Love that I get to snuggle their little ones, learn from my friends & enjoy this crazy ride of life together!

I did manage to capture a few other key Spokane moments!

Aunt Katelyn got Sienna a gift!  I laughed out loud.  Hard.  And I can't wait for her to wear this onesie & headband.  She even got matching shoes but they didn't make the picture.  Adore my sister & her humor, she & Sienna will be BFF's no question!

I picked up pastries at Le Petit Chat to take back to Seattle.  Dave LOVES this place (as do I) so I brought home two savory & two sweet croissants.  He was beyond thrilled!

Naturally I picked up some fresh Honeycrips's at Greenbluff.  Seattle has many great things but a Greenbluff comparison is not one of them.  Can't wait to go again when I'm home in October!

On my way out of town I stopped at Jamie D's house for an hour or so to hang out and to meet Bex!  Is he not the cutest thing you've ever seen!  He snuggled right up to my bump and took a nap while Jamie and I chatted away.  Naturally Elf was on TV in the background #classic

Lastly I managed to make dinner most nights last week & try my hand at wreath making.  Dinner pictures look terrible....I'm no photographer and not all food looks as good as it tastes so please don't cringe.  The wreath while not a total fail is not a huge success either.  But at 28 weeks pregnant and after a super packed weekend I was pretty pleased with myself :)  And yes- we ate lots of garlic bread last week....I couldn't get enough but I'm sure Dave did.

This was a pork chop & rice dish served with green beans, bread & a salad.

More garlic bread....& a yummy stroganoff-ish chicken dish I managed to create in the crock pot one night.  It turned out pretty dang good for just throwing together what was here!   Dave had seconds so I'll call it a success.

The wreath!  I was too cheap to spend $20+ on one so when I found the wreath frame & decorations for about $6.00 I figured I could make something decent.  For a first run I'd say it turned out worthy of at least one fall appearance.

Until next time....adios!

Latest & Greatest

It has been another eventful few weeks! Fall is crazy busy for us with Dave coaching football and school starting...I like to say I'm single from August-November.  By like to say I mean that's the easiest way to put it...not that I like Dave being this busy.  Luckily I love me some good football so cheering on the Bulldogs every Friday & supporting him all season is something I enjoy almost as much as he does :)

One thing I do have to do is getting better at taking pictures at games....I stole the first one off facebook, focused on the view in the second one and the third one is from last year #oopps.  Next Friday's goal...get some fuzz free current coaching pics!

For the first game of the season, GHS vs. Franklin, TONS of friends came out :)  Eric, Derick, Allison, Nick, Jenny, Pat, Sarah, Lorraine, Eric Yates & Christina all came out to cheer on the Bulldogs win 35-7!  It was a GREAT way to start the season!  Naturally, Danielle was there too, she's next to me in the pic but you can't see her...will have to get one of us soon!  Danielle's husband Brett is a good friend of Dave's who coaches for GHS as well!  Drew & his wife Katie have been at the last two games...alas no pics.  All the support from friends is MUCH appreciated and completely awesome.
Dave & I have both been blessed with incredible friends!

This picture is silly I realize but the view of Seattle is pretty stellar from Memorial Stadium where we play almost all of our home & away games!  This isn't even a good pic!

This is a game from last year...but the only one of Dave & the team...more of these to be taken STAT!  Also- Dave never wears slacks & a button up to coach in but naturally the day he forgot his coaches attire is the day I snapped a pic.  Fail.

Fuller, who has seriously gotten the hook up from work on fair concerts this year, was kind enough to take me to Martina McBride at the Puyallup Fair!  Not only is "Doing the Puyallup" one of my favorite late summer Seattle traditions (pretty sure I've made it the last 4 years in a row) but Martina McBride is a little piece of country music heaven!  We had a blast & indulged in fair favorites like corn dogs, scones & caramel apples :)  A pregnant women's food dream food buffet if you will...or perhaps just my dream foods pregnant or not!

I had to get a picture with this sign because not only do you rarely see "Myers" spelled our way but also cause my husband LOVES himself a hamburger.  This one's for you babe!

We are slowly working on getting the nursery ready for Sienna to arrive...just 3 more months to go!!  The crib & dresser have arrived but remain in boxes, every time we think we're ready to assemble we realize there is more stuff to clear out of the room or other things to get done.  BUT assembly is slowly getting higher & higher on the to-do list!  In the meantime I picked out nursery colors, mint green, coral & white, bought some irresistibly cute clothes & made a decorative mobile.

The Zebra on the butt made this set irresistible.  Dave picked out a set too...it's blue and all about bears...he did assure me he would get a blue headband so everyone would know she's a girl :)

My attempt at a Pinterest project!  Excited to see it up in the nursery!

This pic was at 26 weeks...I think.  I'll be 28 this coming Sunday.

My BFF Jax was due September 20th but it seemed her little man was going to make an early arrival so us girls met for dinner...perhaps the final supper without Cooper.  We struggled to get a good group pic & finally asked a stranger for help!  Love love love these ladies and that we have all ended up in Seattle!

THEN the best thing ever happened & little Coop was welcomed into the world on September 16th!  Stone & I went and spent a few hours with Jax & Chris after she was checked in & good golly did she rock the heck out of labor!  Seriously she kicked labor's butt & gave me totally unrealistic  expectations of what's to come :)  I could not be happier for my friends to have finally met their little boy!  Or more excited to be able to see him all the time!  He is just the cutest little thing!

Welcome to the world Cooper Christopher!  We LOVE you!

Lastly....I have made a few yummy things the past few weeks but haven't been great at taking pics!  Another note to self...take more food pics.

Strawberry Peach Cobbler!

Balsamic Chicken (covered in onions & tomatoes) with oven roasted green beans & red mashed potatoes.

WOW- it's amazing how long a post can be only covering a few weeks!  On Friday I'm heading to Spokane for some much needed family, friend and Cougar Football Saturday in Pullman time!  I'm sure I'll come back & share more pics than necessary....again.

Two Years Later......

Welp....it's been a while, damn near two years to be exact and while I certainly don't promise to blog more regularly I certainly hope to.  Mostly so that I have a scrapbook of sorts including all the amazing things life throws my way...and perhaps the not-so amazing too.

So- since there is NO way to fully recap the last 2 years I've tried to summarize the big & most memorable moments!

Fall 2010:

I ran my first half marathon!  As silly as this sounds training made me fall in love with running and while I cursed the rainy dark runs on weeknights I looked forward to long morning runs on the weekends...needless to say these are now a slight hobby.

We visited my Uncle Mike & Family in Southern California, naturally we selected the dates based on Cougar (& UW .... #gocougs) football & caught two away games!
Cougs vs. UCLA at the Rose Bowl!  GO COUGS!

Dave, my Uncle Mark & I...he had surgery two days later for jaw cancer & today is doing great!

UW vs USC at the Coliseum....naturally I stayed nuetral here.

That winter Dave & I decided that going back to Italy was the only obvious thing to do...duh.  So we planned a last minute trip for spring and were out of the country in five weeks!  It was a very lucky and amazing opportunity!  We caught two Serie A soccer games, spent lots of time with Dave's family in Italy and made a million great memories!

Milan

Inter game!

Lake Como

Cinque Terra

Bay of Naples, Sorrento, Amalfi Coast

Pompeii

Positano

Clearly we have a bagillion photos but those are my best attemt at summing it up :)  Needless to say we LOVE Italy, the people, the food, the culture, the scenery, it's an amazing place I hope we get to visit several more times.
That summer, summer 2011, was full of more!  Dave graduated with his Masters in Teaching!  WAHOO!  I went to Glacier with my family, ran another half marathon, we went San Diego for a friends wedding & visited my Uncle Mike one more time!

Fuller & I at the Rock & Roll Seattle finish!

San Diego!

Yep- I was too lazy to go find my camera but had this pic of a pic on my phone.  I repeat, two years is a long time & I'm about to reach my max time in a desk chair.

Glacier 2011!

Are we on picture overload yet?  I am.  Two years is a lot to cover.  Fall 2012 Dave was coaching and Teaching Garfield High School, in a unexpected turn of events Dave ended up in the Interim Head Coach position on top of his first year of teaching...needless to say it was stressful.

I went on girls trips, we celebrated holidays, hung out with friends and then in the spring & summer of 2012 we celebrated 5 milestones.....HUGE milestones!  We found out we are expecting a little one, Jacquee & Chris found out they are expecting a little one...any day now..Megan & Chris welcomed their beautiful daughter Harper into the world, Landis & Matt got married and Uncle Mike passed away.

Katie, Kristin & I did the Warrior Dash in North Bend...SO MUCH FUN!

We went to Duluth MN for Sara & Devin's wedding!  Didn't take enough pics!  It was also Dave's 29th birthday!

More of Harper 'cause I just can't get enough!

IT'S A GIRL!!!  We found out August 3rd 2012 that Baby M is a little girl!  We can't wait to meet her in December and welcome her to the world!  Love you to the moon little one!

Progression! I think the last picture here is 4-5 months...I really should have kept better track!  Please ignore the classy toothbrushing picture!

Jacquee and I at her shower, I'm about 22 weeks and I believe Jax is 34! Can't wait to meet her little boy Cooper in just a few more days!!

On August 7th, 2012 Uncle Mike passed away.  He fought long and hard and is now resting peacefully.  I will love, miss and think of him daily.  His impact on my life will never be forgotten.  He was my uncle, advisor, biggest fan, honest critic, life lesson pointer-outer, crap-talking, football watching, margarita drinking, deeply loving, ultimate hugging, beach loving, God fearing friend, very very good friend.  There will never be another like him.  His passing has been hard.  Hardest because it breaks my heart that my little girl will not know his love.  He called me from his hospital bed to congratulate us & discuss my "bump" and share in our joy- even is his darkest moments he remembered to celebrate life and love.  No better place to remember him than Huntington Beach, CA, love you always Mr. Mike Fox.

Some of the boys getting ready for the memorial surf- it was a beautiful sight.

PHEW!  That was just about a month ago!  SO- thats the last 2 years of our life in a super speed mode.  I forgot a million things, didn't capture a million more and most importantly was incredibly blessed with amazing family, the best of friends, my dream man and a little one only 3.5 months away!

I also made & captured a few delicious meals that I just had to capture below since that was the entire reason I started this darn blog...

I believe this may be the longest blog post of all time.  No joke  At least the longest "this is just pics of my life" post.  Hopefully it won't be two years before the next one & it won't take me all night.
